Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions and Answers — In One Place

01 WHEN DO PEOPLE HAVE ESTATE SALES AND WHY?

Estate sales are often held when people are moving or selling a house as a way to get rid of unwanted items during a move or following the death of a relative. Estate sales are typically held 3 weeks prior to the move-out date.

02 HOW MUCH CAN I MAKE...

This is a frequently asked question. We can never accurately determine the gross revenues of a sale as there are so many mitigating factors that can affect the outcome. Such as the number of sales in the area at the time of your sale, what type of merchandise you have, plus supply and demand of the specific items in the current market. We do, however, assure our clients that we take every possible step to best maximize walk-throughs and exposure of the event.

03 IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF ITEMS I CAN SELL?

The amount of goods to be sold, the value of those items, and the amount of work involved determine whether Recycled Treasures can be of service. A phone call and walkthrough of the home is usually the best way to determine if an estate or moving sale is best for you!

04 HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Depending on how soon we can meet and get started, we can complete the process in as little as a week. However, preparation time is required. We need to advertise and stage the sale. We do our best to work with your schedule and make this as easy as possible and with the least amount of stress.

05 WHY YOU CAN TRUST US...

We are insured and will gladly offer references and credentials upon request. Our rates are fair and very competitive. Our team is the best, everyone has a thorough background check.

06 WHAT HAPPENS WITH WHATS LEFT OVER?

We offer a multitude of options for items left over after the sale. These options are listed in our information packet, and also discussed during our initial free consultation.

I recently used Recycled Treasures for my estate sale. Linda and her staff were extremely knowledgeable, organized, neat and efficient.
